Let’s talk about one of the best neighborhoods for outdoor enthusiasts, horse lovers, and those who love a tight-knit community: Ken Caryl Valley!
Located in southwest Littleton, just to the west of the C-470 and hidden behind Hogback Ridge, Ken Caryl Valley lets you feel like you’ve left the city without having to drive for hours.
But instead of us telling you the great things about it, we wanted to give you insight directly from some of our clients who live right there in the neighborhood. Thanks to Adam and Kasey for sharing what they love about their neighborhood! Read on to learn more about this great spot.
What do you love about living in your neighborhood?
Ken Caryl Valley boasts 4800 acres of foothills open space that we get to share with our neighbors. There is a well established trail network for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
Tell us about some of your favorite local spots nearby (like dining, coffee, retail, parks, trails, etc).
I love that I can step out my front door and enjoy mountain bike rides along the Colorow and Lions Trails, hike up the Massey Draw Trail all the way to Gothic Overlook that boasts views from Red Rocks, to Denver, and to the Rockies, and running around the giant red rocks of South Valley Park just minutes from our house. We love to grab a brew at Lariat Lodge Brewing Company just outside the neighborhood or take the kids to the waterslide and community pool. The Ken Caryl Equestrian Center is a great spot to visit the horses and the kids enjoy riding lessons. My kids enjoy gaining an appreciation of nature during camps at Dakota Lodge.
Is there anything nearby that’s a hidden gem for those living in the neighborhood (ie, something awesome you wouldn’t know about unless you were living there)?
The entire neighborhood is a hidden gem tucked away behind hogback ridge and foothills. The neighborhood is a pretty tight knit community where folks are always willing to lend a neighbor a hand. When folks from the neighborhood move, they move to another home within the neighborhood. There’s multiple parks and playgrounds and downtown Littleton is minutes away.
What else can you share with us about living in this neighborhood?
Ken Caryl Valley provides easy access to nature and outdoor recreation while being very close to Denver. It’s a neighborhood where I feel safe letting my kids play outside on their own. The schools are great, the community amenities are outstanding and 4800 acres of open space in the foothills provides a feel that you are miles away from the city.
